MENTAL HEALTH

The LMCAI will have to recognise that its members work in a demanding and highly pressurised industry and therefore the health and wellbeing of all members is paramount. The LMCAI will seek to raise awareness of mental health issues within both its membership and the community as a whole to tackle the stigma of mental health and provide access to mental health services for its members.

  • Use our Forum to promote good mental health and wellbeing
  • Adopt good mental health policies and best practices into LMCAI constitution
  • Appoint ambassador and role models for each County
  • Tackle discrimination on the grounds of mental health & ethnic identity
  • Support a partnership platform (with GAA, Rugby etc.) To develop and share resources and best practice. Throughout all of this, we should regularly monitor our performance with best practice guidelines.
